Hi.
I know this is a Lotus forem, but there is no place for Cortina's.
I just bought a pretty nice 1968 Ford Cortina GT 2 door. It has been modified with the installation of a Ford 8.8" 3.0 final drive rear end and an all alloy T5 5 speed with Overdrive. It should cut RPM's down to under 2500 at 70.
To make sure that it pulls the tall gearing, torque has been enhanced by the installation of a 5 liter Ford V8.
The V8 is mounted very far back in the tub, about 8" farther back than the original 1600, and major modifications to the firewall and tunnel have been performed to acommodate the change.
I take delivery next Friday.
I'm pretty excited about it.
