stanchion mounting spacers.jpg

I was reading a post about the stanchion types and checked mine that is stored away to realize it is the bolt on type with the stanchion spacers. When I took the wind screen off there were no spacers but I did not know it at the time. Yesterday going thru a tub of parts I found one spacer. I thought that is why no spacers were installed, the PO only had one of them. later last night could not believe it but in a totally different tub of parts the other spacer. Some times the TR gods smile on you. Frank

The car I am working on was taken apart 40 years ago. No labeling of parts, no bagging, just dump it all in a box, then mix in some parts of at least two other cars. When I go looking for a part, I have some of them semi sorted into categories now. What I can't understand is where the parts went that had to be there when the car was taken apart. Something simple like the arms that hold the gauges into the dash. They had to be on the car to start, where did they go?
