Hello all, great to be here. I'm a Brit living in Hampshire SE England. My 2 British cars are a 1967 MG Midget and a 2017 Jaguar XF. The Midget has just been resprayed after fitting a number of new or re-fabricated panels, that's the second time in the 30 years that I've owned the car. The car's used for pleasure of all sorts whenever possible and has in recent years had modest success in club level motor sport including Autosolos and Sprints.
The Jag is simply an indulgence and would be my daily commute if it wasn't for COVID-19 restrictions. I hope to keep the Jag for at least as long as I've owned the Midget if only I can live that long having already been on this earth for 66 years.
I also have a motor home (called an RV in the States - I think) which was coach-built in the UK on a French chassis. My wife has a small French car from the same manufacturer which is a daily runabout but has been modified at the front end as it sometimes serves as a "toad" when we're away in the motor home.
I'm a former member of the now closed MidgetSprite Yahoo Group which is how I learnt of this forum. I'm hoping to find some very helpful Midget hints here just as I did on the Yahoo Group. I'm also hoping that I might occasionally be able to help others based on my long and wide experience of British car ownership which, over the years, has included; a Ford Cortina, Ford Escorts, an Austin A30 and an A35, Ford Zodiac, Ford Corsair, Austin Cambridge, Hillman Hunter, Triumph 2000, Vauxhall Cavalier SRI, Vauxhall Carlton CDi, 2 Vauxhall Fronteras (an "A" and a "B") and a second Midget.
Thanks again for letting me join.
