My chassis and body are going to the shop to get painted. The chassis is hanging from the ceiling and I intend to simply drop it onto the chassis to get it to the shop without any mounting pads. One of the first things they will be doing is replacing the driver side floorpan. Then they will lift the body back off to clean-up and paint. I know that the body needs to be on the chassis to weld in the new one. Here is my question: To get the new pan lined up correctly do I need to install the new body mounting pads first? The old ones are not on the car. I was going to install the new pads when the body is reinstalled after painting but got to wondering if not having them in would mess up the alignment of the new panel. Bruce
