Body panel assembly order?

Maybe I am not searching for the right terms but I can’t find any post which tells me the right order to install the body panels on my BN4. My car was completely disassembled when I received it. I think starting from the rear and going to the front might be correct but I’m not certain. I am painting the insides of all doors and panels now and then plan to spray the exterior once loosely assembled to get an even metallic blue. Many thanks.

Rear and front can each be done independently, but the doors have to be done after the front fenders are put on. Make sure the fender spears are on before putting on the front fenders. I did rear first (shroud then fenders then boot lid). I then installed engine and got running good before I put the front shroud on. Then I finished all the front as much as possible before putting on the front fenders. Last to go on for the body was the doors.

In my opinion, the rear components are simpler to adjust than the front, especially if new shut pillars are to be installed.
The first consideration should be the dimensions between the front outriggers and the scuttle, since this determines the location of the front shroud, and therefore the location of the hinge pillar. Shroud - then front fenders - then doors. With correct gaps, the rear shut pillar and rear fender can be tried. I wouldn't do any final welding of anything new until it all fits pretty well. If the rear of the doors are too low, bottle jacks between the front out riggers (that are solidly in place) and the scuttle above the footwells can be used to raise the whole front (if things are relieved to allow movement).
On a side curtain car, the rear body locations are less critical than on the roll up window cars.
