Hello all! Thank you for your hospitality. I've owned an MGB since 1990 but didn't really start working on one until my wife texted in me October of '18 that a '76 was for sale at the local auction. I texted her back "Your playing with fire." The '79 I've had since '90 was to be a retirement project, however I soon became the owner of a very nice looking but mechanically lacking '76 MGB. After two years I had a very spry B with a reman Ivor Searle performance motor aspirated with HS4's and factory overdrive and no leaks out or in. I crashed it into a tree in August and now I'm starting over with the '79. At least I have everything this time. I'm an excellent mechanic and electrician and I like sharing with others, unfortunately I'm an inattentive driver at times.

Hello Sippoladad

Welcome to the forum.

That is not going to buff out.

The MG section is very active so you are sure to get plenty of tips and advice there for your 79 project B.

JP, OUCH is right, broken clavicle and 12 forehead stitches. Changing everything over to the '79, which needs painting first, which is a whole other headache. May see about converting the remnants of the '76 into a camper trailer.
