Got this link in my feed. Interesting that they are scavenging old Pop Mechanics issues for plans and charging a LOT for them, but, if this is what they look like it is undeniably cute and fun.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but ...

How's your Austin 7 doing these days?

Same as it ever was. Actually no, It is neatly and carefully stored in the he-shed. Realistically it is a retirement project and was (mostly) bought with that in mind. Hopefully today the Midget will be (almost) as complete as it is going to be for the season - I know  September - right?! :wall:

The Vauxhall has to come first and needs to get done and then relatively shortly thereafter gone. Then (probably the Fiat) and then the 7.

There are days when I want to get rid of all except the Midget (and maybe the 7) but assuming the projects remain it is because in the back of my mind I have tried to acquire a few projects for later, partly because things like Austin 7's don't come up often and also because as prices go up, I already have what I want/need.

OTOH I have a friend who just bought a 34' sailboat with the plan of living on it (On Toronto Island) in the summer and wintering in Cuenca Ecuador ($400 Month CDN for a 2 bedroom with a terrace - sigh....)

Oh and a Jensen Healey shooting brake just showed up on Kijiji.....

Cuenca! Gorgeous little pre-Columbian town. Janet and I were there some years back and loved it.
