Suspension question

Well, the car is slowly getting to where I want it to be. If you recall I put three new shocks on and a new rear spring (driver's side) earlier this spring. (the 4th shock is quite new).

The car is definitely tighter than it was - it corners beautifully and doesn't bounce or roll like it used to - this is very good news.

OTOH, it just feels harder than it did before. Not sure if this is

1) Normal

2) something that just needs breaking in

3) something that I might have done wrong on the installation.

I recall that there are certain suspension parts that you shouldn't tighten when the car is in the air. OTOH being a Midget, it is really hard to tighten stuff on the ground. IIRC the stuff you shouldn't tighten is more to bushings than shocks and springs, but, I could be wrong.

any thoughts?

thanks all!

I have railroad ties cut in 2' sections and I jack car up and let it down on the sections under each wheel. Static load and tighten. Just put a wedge under tires to keep from rolling. Ideally, I should have them 3' long for rolling set, but that makes them heavier and harder to move.
