a couple of days ago i was on fb and lo and behold there was my 1959 bn6 for sale in minnesota. i had caught up with it several years ago when it was listed in the wheelspinner listings. i had done the conversion in 1968 while stationed at ft sill ok. ...289 and three speed. it was a bn6 in old english white with dark blue vinyl and dark blue top that had been resprayed with red vinyl spray, steel wheels, no heater, etc. i drove the car for several years and sold it in late 70s to someone in nc. i dont rememer how i came across wheelspinner listings but i checked out the various states and found the car listed with owner in north carolina. i knew by the descrition of the car that it had to be my old healey. talked to the owner over the next several years in an attempt to purchase. for some reason or another he sold the car a year or so ago to a new owner in minnesota. and there it was on fb back on the market last friday and after some conversation i was able to buy. it is much different than when i owned it but generally nice improvements. notably rack and pinion steering, narrowed ford rearend, and a later 302 with tremec 5 speed. and yes, it has the correct bn6 hardtop which i had put on it over 50 years ago! will require some work but i am very happy to have reclaimed ownership!!
