After months of reading all the emails and wondering if there are any members out there that are as much as a novice as I am. Late last year, my 18 year son convinced me that we needed a Triumph TR6 that he had found. Actually, what he wanted was a car that he could use to learn how to work on cars. Yes, bought the car, got it home and the first night, the headlights stopped working. A couple switches later, we conquered our first British car challenge. Many years past, I had 2 GT6s (sequentially, not at the same time), the second one I bought new. That car was a gem after working through some early electrical problems. Drove the car from California to British Columbia, across Canada by way of Edmonton (in November), down the East Coast, across southern U.S. back to California. After the GT6, I bought an early Jag XKE. So, I have some experience with British cars but haven't worked on cars since the 1970s.
Please read by other post on current challenges with the Triumph TR6. Any help is appreciated, keeping in mind that I am truly the novice.
