Has anyone fitted power steering to a Healey 3000? I am interested in electric power steering. Does anyone have knowledge of this conversion? Thanks. Saltiga

Marnold I only know of a BN2 that had one fitted by a company in the united kingdom. The MG"B" have had a few fitted and they use the EPAS from an MG"F". I have contacted an Auto engineer to oversee my conversion(in oz the transport dept must have with any steering alteration certified by a qualified auto engineer)He has recommended we start with my left hand steering box,shaft ect to fit the EPAS to, this way if we make a mistake my RH steering is still ok and we can patch up the mistake if any. So the conversion has started. As to what type and make this has not been selected . There is a bit of a mine field to select from. also the torque needed to turn the steering wheel has not been determined, this is easy by putting a torque wrench on the steering wheel nut and finding out how much torque is needed to turn the wheels. There is also a problem with the electrical s for the horn and flashers To my knowledge there is no hole thru the EPAS to run cables as is with the standard steering column. It would be nice to be able to enjoy someone else's knowledge and make the conversion so much simpler Saltiga
