Have owned my TR3A for 45 years. Acquired it at 15 years old. Also own a 72 TR6 a TR250 and a 61 MGA. Love British sports cars. I do all the work myself as that’s one of my passions. Paul

Aren’t British sports cars both, drivers and projects at the same time? 😃 The 250 was the latest purchase. I’m putting in an overdrive as the tranny was toast. Driver floor was bad. So, new interior, radiator, fuel pump rebuild, carb rebuild, stainless exhaust, tires, wheels. Should be ready soon. The TR3A was restored when I was 16. So, it needs it again. Get this, 49,000 on that one. So much fun!

Good point but some projects are further from the road than others.
I had a TR2 in the UK as my daily driver(only car) back in the 1960s and put nearly 100,000 miles on it. It only left me by the road side twice. Both times with rear axle problems. Broken half shaft and a broken gear in the dif. Apart from that I could always get home somehow. On one occasion I had to rig up a string as a throttle return when the return spring broke.
