Two questions guys. Does it make any difference which master cylinder goes to which fitting on the bottom of the resovoir.
After installing the lines connecting the cylinders to the resevoir
I looked inside. One of the fittings inside has a tube over it. Explain this.
Second, I found this brass spacer or bushing at the bottom of my parts bin. Does anyone know what it is? It's 1 1/16" tall 1" OD with a 1/2" bore. Thanks again
The reservoir supplies both the brakes and clutch and as I understand the clutch is supplied from the line attached to the fitting with a tube over it. That is to prevent a clutch leak from draining the brake reservoir.
+1 on the transmission bushing. Hope you did not leave it out of the crank.
Or they may have been like me and kept it thinking that some day they might have use for a big spacer about that size. I have two of them sitting in my shop.
I saved my old one as it was just too nice to trash - have since made it part of a jack pad for a floor jack to lift my other car using the sill socket that accepts the factory jack.
