    Anyone racing a TR3?

How much advance beyond the initial 4 degree setting are race prepped distributors set at ? I realize there are a lot of variables depending on modifications but I thought I read 8 degrees somewhere? How would a stock TR3 motor run at 8 degrees advance?

I know Hardy Prentice. He has a winning TR3 that he raced in SCCA for years
(he used to flat tow it behind his eType Jag).
If you don't get an answer, contact me,& I'll contact him.
    Never do anything you
    wouldn't want to explain
    to the paramedics.
