TR2/3/3A Bubbling in brake reservoir. No pressure in lines

I recently purchased a 1961 Tr3A. The brakes do not work. I was trying to bleed them today. Very little if any pressure in the lines. It looks like the master cylinder is new. When I pump the brakes, it goes to the floor. The telltale problem must have to do with something going wrong with the master cylinder. The brake fluid reservoir bubbles and fluid will shoot up when the brake is pumped, like fluid is going back in the reservoir.

Very easy to rebuild the MC. Check the rubber brake lines as well, I believe there are three.

Do you get fluid and bubbles in the reservoir when pressing the pedal? If so, definitely a bad MC.

But if they only happen when you release the pedal, you may have some other problem. If the MC is full of air, it can seem like it doesn't work, when in reality it's just compressing the air.

Have you tried using a vacuum bleeder?
Put a good gob of grease around the bleeder nipple thread to get a good seal and see if you can pull fluid into the system.

I did have a brand new MC which turned out to have a problem. Not like you describe but it did not work right.

I don't seem to get bubbles but fluid pumping back into the reservoir. I think I'll bleed the MC and if no help, I have a replacement MC.
Thanks for the help.

I had a similar problem with a new MC it just would not bleed all the air out, got the original rebuilt and had no more problems
