Thousands of years ago I was a teacher in south Texas. Some of my students had their own band (a conjunto), called Las rancheritas, which performed folk music of northern Mexico all over the Valley (Mexico and the USA).

Yesterday I digitized an LP they made around 1970. Figured some BCF members might enjoy it.

All of those young women were my students. And a few years later, one was a bit more than a student ...
