Afternoon All. I have a 1973 MGBGT with a Webasto sunroof. Been working on it for about 3 years now. Mechanical includes new head, timing chain, water pump, rear seal (with interference sleeve), reconditioned overdrive box, roller thrust bearing, new clutch and slave cylinder, balanced driveshaft and universals, re-set leaf springs, brake system replaced (including new discs and calipers), fuel pump replaced with optical system from NZ, reconditioned shock absorbers (all Armstrong's), replaced the suspension and sub frame bushes, recored the radiator, replaced the brake booster, replaced brake master cylinder, converted the headlights from sealed beams to halogens, replaced the SU HS4's, fitted K&N filters into the original cans, recored the heater radiator, replaced the universals on the steering column and repacked the steering box, replaced the worn out 25D4 points distributor with an Accuspark electronic 25D4. Interior has seen the seats reupholstered, trim replaced (including making new rear seat base and folding down backing board), custom installation of 4 speaker system, installation of clock where the cigarette lighter used to be, replaced the auto aerial, reconditioned the speedometer and cleaned the gauges, wooden steering wheel, replace the rag-top, head lining and shades, replace the interior and exterior mirrors. Most of it I have done myself, with specialist works (e.g. gearbox, springs, ragtop) done be external providers. Timing is the holy grail in my continued adventure with Veronica (Ronny for short). Dont think I have forgotten anything...:fat:
