I’ve been working on my 1974 TR6 for going on four years. I helped a friend restore his 73 TR6 prior to buying and beginning my project. I gone through all the joys, frustrations and bewilderment of a project of this magnitude and I’m very near to starting my car. At present I’m trying to install my interior door panels. The clips purchased from Moss motors in the US are not the same as the original clips. The new clips appear to me to be too short to reach the hole and I’m afraid of damaging the panels if I continue to struggle with them. Is there some other alternative available to me that someone has tried with success.

When you say that the clips are to short to to reach the hole, do you mean depth wise or horizontally from the clip that goes over the hard board to reach out to fit into the hole in the metal door? A photo of what your clips look like would help.
Getting the clips to fit into the holes in the door is a pain. I devised a way to set up the clips on the back of the panels so that they matched the holes in the doors. But I have never written it up for anybody else to use. Most folks just push ahead and do a whole lot of cussing.
