The other Car

You might be driving your "other" car if..

Just a light tap on the brakes sends you and the dog to the windshield.

You cant seem to find reverse.

You can actually read the gauges at night.

You forget there is a 5th gear, for 30 miles.

It seems to ride like a caddy.

You can do 80 and it doesnt sound like an angry sewing machine.

I actually drove quite a while in 4th gear in
my '94 Dodge Dakota (tow vehicle),before I remembered
there was a 5th gear!
The other great story was when we had a Gold Mazda
Protege rental car.My wife called me in a panic from the local mall.
She said that someone had stolen the car.
A little while later, she called me back after she found it.
This NEVER happens with the Cortinas,or the TR6.That's why
I call the "refridgerator cars".They should all be painted
White & say "Kelvinator" on the side!

Maybe a Nash?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nash_Motors

"Nash would acquire controlling interest in Kelvinator, which at the time was the leading manufacturer of high end refrigerators and kitchen appliances in the United States. The resulting company, as of January 4, 1937 was known as the Nash Kelvinator Corporation. Nash, as a brand name continued to represent automobiles for Nash-Kelvinator."

Metropolitans and Nash-Healeys in the '50s ... Kelvinator wasn't too bland as car makers go ... perhaps you should call them Frigidaires given that company's old connection with GM?

There is a picture of a Willys on this site that reminded me.
When willys was sourcing out the body work, for the wagon, they ended up using an appliance manufacturer because they had the capability to make the larger sections.
I was always told the 3 ribs on the side were the same as on Kelvinators.
Small world.
