Greetings all;

Paul here. Here is East Tennessee. Winter is coming so it is time to get ready to figure out what part of my garage floor I shall grace with car parts and fluids. We are proud owners of a 1962 Austin Healey 3000 Mk II (BT7-II Tri Carb). A 'driver,' but, well, isn't that the point of owning these things? We have had the car for coming on 22 years and look forward many, many more to come.

I have consulted this forum off and on for a while but finally decided to join and look forward to contributing as I can.

See you on the road.......

Paul

Thanksgiving greetings Paul. Glad to have you aboard, especially since you're apparently an njunear!

And nice-looking Healey you have there. You don't absolutely have to take them off the road in winter in eastern Tennessee, do you?

Thanks to all. It is good to see so much activity and diversity of topics. I do hope I can contribute as much as I take from the assembled (huddled?) masses herein.

No, winter in East Tennessee does not necessitate taking the car off the road. It is just that I would rather have a heater in the garage while working on the car as opposed to wallowing in the heat of the summer. Somewhere I have the pictures I took of myself toodling around with the top off to celebrate Y2K. Nice to have the built-in foot well heater.

My handle here on the forum (njunear) is just one of the many places you will find me so listed. PBase (https://www.pbase.com/njunear) for one, Steve, though I have not posted there for quite some time. And on the back of my BJ9, er GTI, you find it as my license plate. That way I can tell folks that I am a licensed engineer. In fact, I was for quite some time. I am a retired mechanical engineer, licensed in the state of Tennessee although I am on 'inactive' status at the moment.

Healey on.......

Greetings Paul. I am also a newbie to this forum and also live in east Tennesee, about an hour and a half south of you in Cleveland. I am also a retired "njunear" only of the Civil type and my TN license is also in the "inactive" status. My BJ7 has been a stalled project for at least 15 years but I have finally got back to it and will be searching this forum frequently for guidance. In addition to the BJ7 I have owned my Sprite since 1991 and my MGTF since 1983, so been around LBC's for a long time. Are you a member of the Healey club in Knoxville?
