    Storm prep aborted.

Dorian decided to cruise up the east coast instead of ripping a path across central Florida. But those along the Atlantic coast will have much to contend with. Wishing them luck.

In my opinion it will endanger The Beach (Myrtle Beach) and outer banks long before it gets to the Hampton Roads areas.

The Outer Banks & Cape Hatteras always seem to get slammed,
& the people just keep rebuilding.

I believe all new houses have to be built on concrete pilings and several feet above ground level.

But look at the good news. Thanks to Amazon, most of the stores are already boarded up.

My sister is in Longs, SC, slightly inland from the beach and wasn't on the evacuation list, but it looks like the "experts" were wrong and it's moving further inland dumping tons of water and wind everywhere. Haven't tried to call her this morning, not sure if cell service will be temporarily affected. Have to check later. PJ
