TR4/4A A arm orientation

Although this says TR4A, the suspension is TR6 and I understand that there’s not much difference. I’m rebuilding the front and rear suspension with poly bushings, new trunnions, all new hardware, etc. and I know the upper A arms are L&R, but how about the lower? The uprights are threaded for L&R trunnions, but which one on which side? I bought rebuild kits for everything and the hardware is so crude that I’ll be replacing everything with quality stuff from Fastenal...should it be grade 5, 8, or? Any additional tips on reassembly? I did find that the inner front suspension brackets hit the lower A arms and they need to be ground for clearance. Last question...what’s a good grease to use on the trunnions, etc?
Thanks for your help, Rut

Hi Rut, I decided to upgrade the front suspension on my TR3A by using TR4A suspension parts. The car is a long way from finished but did a rough assembly just to do some checking of the front suspension measurements after the major frame rebuilding I had to do. Tony Drews article TR3 / 4 suspension upgrade is very good . http://www.tonydrews.com/Front_Suspension/tr4_front_suspension_upgrade.htm
I will be using the super pro bushings and they supply the grease to use with their bushings. The lower arms will change the ride height approximately 1 inch. One way is standard height and the other is lower. You can also get different spring spacers to adjust the height if you need to. The article explains all in detail.

Front end is now together and on the bench with the other completed components awaiting installation. The last issue was the wrong castle nuts which were locking up the trunnions.
Thanks, Rut
