I'm in Monterey now and checked out the 007 car yesterday. Gorgeous. Also announced yesterday was the upcoming sale at Mecum Kissimmee of the original "Bullitt" Mustang. Never thought I'd get so close to my two favorite movie cars. (The arrow shows me!)

I'm lucky to afford a souvenir t-shirt. That Mustang is really beat. I don't think I could stand to see it in my garage without restoring it. Then it would look like 10,000 other Bullitt clones and no one would believe it was the real deal.

I'd have to drive it like I stole it because that's what it would take.

Well it looks like you might have to steal it from the new owner... it just sold.

Rumor on the street is that DNK bought it.

Well now, that's going to be an easier mark than Sothebys. I'll polish my driving shoes.

I saw one of the Bond cars at a Salt Lake show back in the 80's. Don't recall which one it was.

I was also in Monterey this week. I saw the Bullet car and the Bond car. We sat and watched the auctioning Thursday morning. I would have to say that they don't spend a lot of time on the lessor cars. I also wonder why they would bother to auction a 1972 Pinto.
I did have fun at the two car shows we took our car. The little car show in Pacific Grove gave us two trophies. Nice cars there and most of them are drivers.
