Revotec fan kit

I just received a fan kit for big Healey neg. ground. If anybody else has been considering this I ordered from Rimmerbros.com and shipped to the door was 290$ which is considerably less than Moss. I will report back after install.

O.K. The kit went on pretty easy. The bracket keeps the fan nice and tight on the radiator. Their instructions for removing and replacing the radiator made no sense so I dis-regarded them. I had to bend one of the over-flow tube clamps slightly but the fan fits good side to side as well. The wiring instructions were funny on 1 page it showed power from the solenoid lug for the battery stating " this gives the advantage of the fan running with ignition off" on the actual wiring sheet it states" We don't suggest running the fan with the ignition off" I ended up clipping the jumper wire on the relay and running fan power directly to the alternator then running the trigger switch to an unused lug under the plastic fuse cap. I don't want the fans to run if the ignition is off. The turn on temp is adjustable and the turn off temp is 5 deg C below on temp. I was able to get fans on at about 205 F and off around 195 F. The fan moves quite a bit of air and I don't miss the Texas Cooler wind noise. The rain came so no test drive yet. So far I like it and think it would be even better with an aluminum radiator.

Assuming this is a puller fan. Would like to see a picture of the installation.

It's a pusher. Unfortunately it does make the car run warmer by about 7-10 deg. The loss of mechanical fan noise is great and the engine revs noticeably better, but the extra degrees is not the point so it's a fail in my book. Probably be great with an aluminum radiator.
