Hello, my name is Gene. It seems a bit strange to be considered "new", since I have owned British cars since 1970 (a new MGB), and restoring cars since 1975. I have done half a dozen old Corvettes (61 through 89), a 65 Porsche, a 66 Mark 2 and a 69 E-type Jaguars, a 67 Spitfire and a 71 Stag. My current project is a 59 TR3A (although titled as a 61), and like all of the others was a basket case when purchased. It is a quirky beast and the cause of ongoing frustrations, so it seemed logical to join the Forum as I expect to have lots of questions. I look forward to using the Forum so as to minimize having to do things over several times (apparently I am a slow learner).
