'59 MGA in NM/CO

I bought my '59 MGA in 1972 with back wages from the Navy after becoming a civilian again. Daily driver for many years but stored under a tarp in NM last 25 years. Just starting resto with engine frozen. Really good MG specialist can't get it unstuck. Due to health issues he can't work on it any more. I'm looking for an A 1500 or 1600 engine in running condition, some one who can rebuild it or a B 1800 that I can have installed . Not a gear head but can do rest of resto after running. More of a labor of love, deceased wife and I honey mooned in it in '76, for becoming a daily driver.

I'm pretty sure that in order to use an 1800 engine from an MGB the backplate of the engine needs to be changed in order to mate up to the MGA bell housing.
