TR2/3/3A Brake lines

Doh! I was installing a stainless steel rear brake hose when I cross threaded the line connector at the rear brake hose. It connects the hose to the long brake line that goes to the 4 way junction box at the front of the car. Anyone know if I would be able to find a similar brake line from a shop that would match up to car this old? Cant tell if the line is single or double flared. Looks like SAE maybe 3/16" or 1/4".
Alternately I guess I could remove the entire line, cut the line and remove the offending connector. I have a spare Master cylinder "pipe assembly" that has a connector on it that is the same as the cross threaded one that I could cut off and use. I could borrow a pipe flare kit, and install the good connector to the line. I was just wondering if it would be possible to buy a generic brake with the correct fittings already on it that would match up. Anyone know if if a modern brake line would match up???

Girling used a special nut pattern, you have to get the extended tip on the nut as well as the correct threads and pipe size. Using American pattern nuts may appear to work, but the joint will be prone to leak and may break the fitting when you over-tighten it in an attempt to stop the leak.

So An American brake line wont work because of the Girling special nut pattern. Where do I get a single Girling brake line? or do I have to cut the existing brake line, install the spare connector I described and flare the old brake line?

Fedhill http://www.fedhillusa.com/ has this stuff. My only problem with them has been the occasional English-sized part with metric flats, but if you can live with that kind of thing, they have all you need.
