Doh! I was installing a stainless steel rear brake hose when I cross threaded the line connector at the rear brake hose. It connects the hose to the long brake line that goes to the 4 way junction box at the front of the car. Anyone know if I would be able to find a similar brake line from a shop that would match up to car this old? Cant tell if the line is single or double flared. Looks like SAE maybe 3/16" or 1/4".
Alternately I guess I could remove the entire line, cut the line and remove the offending connector. I have a spare Master cylinder "pipe assembly" that has a connector on it that is the same as the cross threaded one that I could cut off and use. I could borrow a pipe flare kit, and install the good connector to the line. I was just wondering if it would be possible to buy a generic brake with the correct fittings already on it that would match up. Anyone know if if a modern brake line would match up???
