Rotisserie question?

For anyone who has built one, can you please estimate where the center of gravity is on a bare '67 Sprite tub? The only things still attached are the doors and boot lid and I can remove them too. In fact that would save a little weight.

Haven't built one (yet) but as I understand it, it's supposed to be right around the center of the trans tunnel arch. Keep in mind also that stripped down there isn't a lot of weight so the CG isn't terribly critical. I thing this may be one of those situations where close enough is good enough. The pictures I have looked at vary a little up or down and nobody seems to have a problem one way or the other. Also, as you add things back on it will change minimally. Just my 2 cents worth.

If your seeking centerline of rotation for building your rotisserie? Here's a photo of mine which I aimed for the center of deferential.

From memory, Top of the transmission tunnel seems about right. The shell is only about 350 lbs so, exact centering is not crucial.

Thank you gentlemen. That's about where we were estimating. Hope to get it done today and post pics. Also comforting to hear it isn't too critical.

Whilst not critical is far easier to rotate with just one person if you get it right. I did mine and it needed two people to control rolling it over and also a chain to secure in position. That said I was a fair way off as I used the rear spring mounts for attachment.
