It’s tough when you have to admit you screwed up. Knowing I should have had insurance on my cars in storage is a kick in the tail.
My 3 Triumphs, 71 GT6, 74 TR-6, and 74 Spitfire were destroyed in a warehouse fire a couple of weeks ago. The GT6 and TR-6 had been on the road, the Spit was undergoing a conversion to a European spec Spit, fresh engine rebuild, crown and pinion gear, and just needed the twin SU’s rebuilt.
At this point I’m still waiting to get in to see them and see just how bad things are. The picture I was shown doesn’t look good, they are telling me it was the hotspot...

Trying to be positive at this point...

Yikes - sounds like a real disaster for you.

If you didn't have insurance yourself, what liability insurance did the warehouse company have on damages to the contents?

That’s something I’m trying to find out. We are still waiting on the fire Marshall’s to finish things up. I did make it clear to his insurance company that I reserved the right to make claims.. They did contact me just after the fire.

Sure sorry to hear this! Let's hope you'll get some compensation from the company if nothing else.
