Tore down my '74 Triumph TR6 transmission and found the wrong countershaft; it is too small in diameter and too short for my TR6 transmission. Can someone out there tell me what car this countershaft is for?
Countershaft in question is about 0.788 inches in diameter and 8 13/16 inches in length with a cutout about 1/4 inch long in one end. Diameter of countershaft at cutout end is about 0.657 inches from flat to edge opposite the flat. Has a hole in end with the flat that extends to hole near middle of countershaft and intersects two holes opposite each other at the end with the flat. Hole in other end of the countershaft ends about 3/8 inch in.
I have attached photos of the countershaft in the hopes that between the description and the photos someone will know what car it fits.
Thanks,
Dan
