Anyone got a copy of that ~25 step or so, How to Remove a Spridget Engine Checklist.

I'm sure I can do it by rote memory but wanted a checklist to make sure a step is not missed.

Bugsy going into the garage this PM to get started. Bonnet off today and remaining Checklist Items later this week.

Help arranged for Engine Pulling on next Sunday. Going to bare chassis in preparation for Rotisserie Restoration.

Color Matching Bedliner underneath and Old English White will be the final color along with Cherry Red Interior, Dash Restoration.

And so it starts.

I once removed the engine/gearbox from a '62 Sprite Mk II by myself without a hoist. All it took was a wooden stepladder, two 2x4's screwed together, a piece of chain, and half a sheet of plywood. Good times!

Thanks Rut,
Got a lot of that done today, ran into an issue trying to disconnect the heater cable. I still have a working heater switch that turns on the fan as well as opens and closes the flapper valve. unfortunately the itty bitty bolt holding the cable in place to the flapper valve is stuck. Got it marinating overnight, Gotta be careful as that is an unobtanium part.

Bigger issue is the lower wheel arch. connects the trunk floor to the wheel arch and bumper bracket braces, Fender was repaired nicely but the lower wheel arch bracket isn't welded to the floor, the rear triangular bracket or connected to the Wheel Arch. It's also 1/2" above the trunk floor and sits about 3/4" way from attaching to the wheel arch. Fender looks great but this is a problem to fix. getting access will be a major issue and the only way might be to open up the boot floor and piece in a replacement Wheel Arch. AH Spares lists one for a Mk III or Mk IV, not for a Mk 1 or 2. Pics to follow.
