TR5/TR250 TR 6 wiper motor

Since I have moved to Idaho the weather is a little bit different than California. I finally decided to get the windshield wipers going. There was no wiper motor with the car when I got it. TR250 motors are very $$$$. I know that a TR6 motor can be used for a 250. So I bought the motor, and all other hardware. For the life of me I can't figure out how it all mounts! A photo of the mounted motor is all I think I would need.

Just to be clear....

Are you asking for pictures showing a TR6 type wiper motor installed in a TR250?

So...just typing out loud....haven’t done any research but off the top of my head it is going to require some work. On the TR250, the wiper motor has the mount built into the bottom of it...on the TR6, there is a little perch that is part of the body tub that the motor sits on top of. You will need to build this perch. There is a band that goes across the top of the motor with a rubber insulator that screws down to the perch.

Do you have the wiper rack, wheel boxes and tubes as well? I’m not sure the 250 rack will bolt up to the TR6 motor is all...

Cheers

Likewise... no pictures from me. In addition to the concerns mentioned above, didn't the 250 use the square wiper motor and most TR6 use the round wiper motor? If so, aren't there some wiring and switch changes required as well? Did you purchase the round wiper motor and parts?

What I had heard is that it would be a easy install. So I did buy the new TR6 wiper motor and there is just no way that I can see it working with out doing a lot of fabrication. Can be done, but I think it would look very wrong. So I think I will bite the bullet and spend the money for a real TR250 motor and be done with it.
Thank you Tush and Doug for your info..

You can always troll eBay looking for a used wiper motor. There are several internet articles on reconditioning the motors... I think there is even one on this month's Moss Motors magazine. A little cleaning, fresh paint, and you might have a very serviceable motor for a good cost savings.

I bought the proper tr250 wiper motor $250 but Looks great. It bolted right in with no problem. Should have done it right in the first place.

Yep, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.
