Does anyone here have point 3 point belts in a Series I XKE or pictures of an installation. I have a set of Kangol 3 point belts I would like to install. .

Three point belts just make it harder to cut your body out of the wreckage.

So....three-point...lap and antisubmarine strap?

One would think a 5-point would be better...or are you talking lap and standard, everyday shoulder harness?

I'm looking to do a simple shoulder belt and lap belt similar to what was in the Pagoda (280sl) Mercedes of the era. It is my understanding that the Kangol set up used by Mercedes was optional on the XKE.

Most of them on an E that I have seen haven't been, but I'll ask.

so, I guess the question is, what kind of ends are on the belts that make them not bolt up to the factory attachment points?

Are your inertia reel or fixed/adjustable?

I looked them up, most seem to have the standard eyelet to mount to the factory bolts.Is your E a coupe?

Length is an issue, often year/make/model specific.

Reason I asked about attachments is some odd belts have a double hook to mount to an eyebolt in the floor.

My MK2 has similar belts and no inertia. PITA to adjust, and for a 1964, they are aftermarket, as they didn't have them originally, and none in the back.

Shotgun position to adjust belts we just move the seat.
