Been trying to place an order with MacGregor. Ordered on line, and a month later I get a phone message saying he wanted to talk to me about options and price changes and would call again Monday. I guess I should have asked which of the 52 Monday's he would be calling back. I left two more answers on his answering machine over three days, but still no response. I have been extremely happy with his seals I bought for my bugeye, but am just a little frustrated trying to get an order completed for my TR6. Anyone have any tricks for getting an order completed?

FWIW, something similar happened to me (long time ago). Turned out he had been out of town for some sort of show, and no one to answer phones, etc. Seems like he could have left a message on the machine, or something; but I guess that's not the way he operates.

I think that is a problem most "mini" vendors have; not enough staff to take care of business. I'm wondering what seals MacGregor would supply that Moss couldn't .

I can be frustrating, but it’s worth the hassle. A phone call is the only way to place an order and get what you want. He’s a great guy to deal with and will advise you on the correct parts for your application, which ones fit really well, which ones look original, etc.

In my case, he offers near-perfect replicas of the original door seals for a Stag. At the time, the only other vendor I found was Rimmers, and their seals wouldn't even fit without having to cut them with a razor blade; let alone look original.

So, calling is better. Anyone know the best time to call? My last two calls were a little after 9am (6 my time) and still can't get a live person. I can get seals from the big three, but never of the quality of his. For instance, the door seals in my bugeye never seemed to fit right. I am a big guy for this car, and I would occasionally bump the seals with my feet when I entered the car. Some one on the forum suggested MacGregor. Since installing the bristle flex about 8 years ago, the doors fit perfectly and the seals never come off.

I called for three days straight and finally go a hold of him on the forth time. Keep calling.....yes he does not regularly answer email, phone messages, online orders. Nice guy and his products are well worth the hassle!
