I am hoping someone can help me with this machining issue.
I have a MK9 (3.8) head that has been planed and with no record of how much material was removed.
Four questions;
- does anyone have a machine shop reference giving detailed critical dimensions for a Jag 3.8 head and if so?
- what was the thickness of the original finished 3.8 head casting?
- how do you measure the thickness of the finished casting?
- what is minimum acceptable thickness after planing or how much material can be removed?
Any help will be appreciated.
