Sold on bring a trailer today, I posted about looking at it in 2012 (time flies) and then later about how I passed on it and my brother bought it.
He had best intentions of restoring it but as often happens life got in the way. It brought a pretty penny, I made the decision to pass and don't regret it. However, on reflection my a little sad that at these prices I will likely never own one.

When I was looking at it it was much cheaper, much, much. Wasn't looking to buy it now, just marveling at the price.

I agree - the prices have gone a bit crazy. I suppose someone will spend $100,000 restoring that one and will still come out okay - but will the car ever again be used as Browns Lane intended? Or will it just be a show piece sold and resold at future auctions?

I got mine to drive and drive it I do.

$45k for a rough project, Wow. Since I don't drive mine that much any more, I have thought about selling but can't pull the trigger. I know I will probably never get another with todays prices.

Dang. I sold my 1968 XKE S 1.5 coupe before moving to Hawaii with matching number block for only 36K. Needed paint and interior but it was running, registered and on the road. Prices are getting out of hand.
