Selling a package of twelve new heavy duty, hardened, lifters for Triumph applications, the lifters have the following dimensions:
Diameter .800 inches
Height 1.750 inches
I.D. .650 inches
They should fit the following Triumphs:
Triumph Vitesse 1.6 (1965-66, 1600cc) (Called Speed 6 in USA)
Triumph Vitesse 2.0 (1966-71, 2000cc)
Triumph GT6 (1966-73, 2000cc)
Triumph 2000 (1965-77, 2000cc)
Triumph 2500pi (1968-77, 2500cc)(Includes S and TC variants)
Triumph TR5 pi (1967-69)
Triumph TR6 (1969-75)
Please measure your old lifters to insure that you are purchasing the correct part. The Cam Followers sit on top of the Camshaft and rise and fall pushing the rocker arms, which open and close the valves, as the camshaft rotates. There are 12 Cam Followers here which is enough for one six cylinder engine. These are the optional hardened, more durable lifters.
Coat the working face and the sides with new oil or assembly lubricant before fitting. Replace these parts with any engine rebuild as the working faces often become pitted or worn and scored particularly if the engine has been standing for a long time or has very high miles.
