Yes, but do any of these folks have a record of doing a great job restoring the gauge faces? A different specialty than overhauling the instruments or cleaning them up.

Duane, Thanks a lot for the MoMa lead. I'm only about 30mins east of them, and didn't even know they existed! I have the BN6 and an old Alfa that both need their gauges either rebuilt or serviced. Jim

From my experience don't even consider West Valley. The refinishing of the gauges was terrible quality. Letters were blurry, incorrect #'s reprinted, main face paint looked more like a wrinkle paint was used and incorrect color. I was charged for cleaning the mechanisms, but they were never cleaned. The gauge shells original plating was ground off in places, but not replated. I ended up having Palo Alto redo the gauges & with total satisfaction. I wish that I had not tried going somewhere else then a proven source to save a couple dollars & for shorter turn around time.
If you are like some Healey owners, you may have a box full of non-functional or spare gauges. Taking reasonable care, one can disassemble gauges and put the better parts together. Or if you aren't comfortable doing that, you could send in a non-functional donor gauge with a nice face to the experts, to do the face swap.

They have been restoring guages as Long as I can remember (well over 35 years) and the work that I have seen of theirs has been excellent and on the west coast they are the place to go. Not sure why, but their website wasn't working when I just checked.
