Hi from Tasmania all.
With the Sprite Mk2a almost fully restored it was time to think about the next project (of course!).
I'm about to take possession of a rather butchered Frogeye but who could resist that (still) smiling face!
Originality is sadly lacking here:
Mitsubishi engine/gearbox/ancillaries/electrics (-ve earth)
Non-standard radiator
Rear of cockpit cut back close to roof anchors
Mostly non-standard gauges (and extra ones)
Battery platform cut back (to fit non-std engine)
Engine mounts changed to fit non-std engine
Flared guards on rear and on fibreglass bonnet - looks somewhat reversible
Trans tunnel heavily modified at gearstick area
Has some signs of rust repairs and who knows what lurks beneath!
Car is now yellow instead of blue and looks rather like this
Hoping to save this little Sprite and sort all of this out but might compromise a little such as 1275 A-series engine, front discs and ribbed 'box
Must be mad! At least it was cheap.
I'm coming to the UK/Europe for an extended period soon and will be in the hunt for parts!!!
