I am installing a new trunk liner in my BT7. I know that the piece that covers the bottom part of the shroud between the boot opening and the gas tank is glued to the shroud and I think the coachman loop that holds the spare tire holddown strap is mounted on top of the piece. It looks like this piece is long enough to fit under the edge of the gas tank. My question is which edge should go under the tank, the one with the finished binding or the raw edge?
The other edge will be glued up under the lip of the boot opening.
This is the piece in question.

The raw edge goes under the tank(it's raw and you don't want it to be seen).

Rob, just my two cents, but I didn't glue mine. It stays in place very well without the glue and I like to be able to remove such things to clean or in the event of water penetration.

please forgive my butting in....is there a source for armorcord so that a person can cut his own pattern for a bn6 two seater trunk? thanks

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. I didn't see your post. I'll have to look at it tomorrow as I don't have a picture of it on my computer. I don't remember if I had to trim it or it just fit in. I'll look tomorrow.

Rob, I put the binding edge of the piece up top under the edge of the trunk opening. I think I decided this because I didn't have to cut it anywhere and the bottom unbound edge slides under the tank just a wee bit and I notched the bottom edge to fit around the tank straps and the center brace. I do not have a coachman loop to deal with so I didn't have to be concerned with that. Also the bottom unbound edge is covered up by the piece that fits on top of the tank.
