I have an oil leak to bell housing / clutch area, from rear main bearing. I note that the original design does not use an actual seal, but rather any oil that travels along crankshaft is intended to hit a machined groove in the crankshaft, which is intended to carry it back to an oil well in the rear main bearing cap, where it drains back to the oil sump. Has anyone worked on any improvements on leakage thru this system and/or added an after market seal to help reduce oil loss thru the original design arrangement? I had issue with the clutch pressure plate getting wet, so oil leakage needs to be reduced or hopefully eliminated. Any comments / suggestions?
