Has anyone dealt with this company? Looking for feedback and PM is OK if you do not want to post it on line. I have a friend that is about to order a bunch of parts for his 100-4 project.

Hi Bob,

Yes I have dealt with this company a number of times, and found them to be responsive and reliable. Had a problem with the workmanship on convertible top wood pieces for my BJ8, and they refunded my money with no questions. They have a North American distributor called Autofarm, which is in rural Ontario Canada somewhere, so you "might" get a better deal on parts, given the sad state of the Canadian dollar versus the $US. Shipping and duties from Great Britain will likely double the cost of purchase. Their phone number in England is 011-44-1788-565000. Normally takes 2 to 3 weeks for shipments to arrive. An alternate parts source in England is AH Spares, owned by Fred Draper (now deceased), who worked on factory Healeys when Donald Healey was running the show.

Just a question though. Why not source your parts within the US? Seems to me that you may do better, in terms of prices and shipping. Might try the Little British Car Company, run by Jeff Zorn. He's a Moss distributor, very easy to deal with, offers a discounted retail price on Moss products, and is super quick on orders. I have no affiliation.

Just to advise you that dealing with companies in England doesn't necessarily mean that their parts are made in Britain. They'll source from Asia as well, to keep costs down in a pretty competitive market. At least that's been my experience.

Regards
DB

I have dealt with AA4H and have no problems recommending them. My 100/4 is turning out to have been heavily repaired in the past so has bits from both early and late BN1. Keith at AH4H has been happy to let me have parts on a 'fit or return' basis. I have the advantage of only living 40 minutes away from them and on one occasion he was happy to spent a couple of hours with me identifying why I could not get some parts to fit correctly. Also being somewhat chauvinistic I happen to agree with AH4Hs policy of getting parts made in the UK whenever possible rather than farming the work out to China, even if it does work out a little more expensive.

I think what got my friend interested in doing business with this company is they are supposed to have the proper red armacord (sp) for the trunk and rear section of the interior. Depending on the shipping cost and duties involved he may go with them or other sources. I just wanted to see if there were any good or bad experiences with them. So far they look like a ok place to purchase parts. Thanks for the replies and I hope he looks at this and starts posting here. His car is a very early car painted Coronet cream and was red inside originally.

Being in Canada and especially now our CAN dollar royally sucks compared to the U.S. I get a lot of parts from Autofarm .
They are the Canadian distributor for their parts (Google Autofarm) .
Bob Yule is very good to deal with and they have most common stuff in stock and regular shipment from the UK means you don't have to wait to long for non stock items .
I believe AH4H was started by some former AH Spare people who became very disillusioned by the quality of the parts being sold by AH Spares as more and more parts started being made you know where ???
The stuff that I have had from Autofarm has all been good no issues .

I can recommend AH4H. I have had no problems dealing with them. As mentioned above the company was started by a couple of ex-AH Spares people. I still use AH Spares as they are only 30 minutes from where I live. Some items are sourced jointly by both companies, other things they source individually. Both companies are good and are Healey specialists whereas Moss and SC Parts handle many different cars. Moss in the UK no longer deals with any Healey stuff.

I have ordered a few times from Ahead4healey's & the other main sources in england with geat results. You will save alot from buying direct instead of buying from Autofarm in Canada.Their prices are very inconsistent, plus they wanted to charge additional GST sales taxes, even thou I don't live in Canada. All the prices are online for all the suppliers, so easy to compare prices & make a decision.
Try John Skinner in england for your armacord, great prices & quality for all interior parts & will send you samples too. Skinner also sells Karvel carpeting.

I imagine Moss gave up on Healeys in the UK as the market is much smaller than for MGs and Triumphs. Plus AH Spares are known and respected by everyone over here.

It may also be that so many of the parts Moss sold came from AH Spares.

I can't speak highly enough about this company. I broke a piston ring while fitting a new set that I had bought from AH spares who said a complete set would have to be bought to replace the ring and could not be persuaded to help me.
Keith at AH4H when I told him of my dilemma to my amazement said he would ask the manufacturer as he had a good relationship with them if they would supply a single ring and to my double amazement they did.

This really was going the extra mile bearing in mind that they did not even supply the original set. I saved about ÂŁ75

AH4H is a tad more expensive for some items but they will be supplying all my parts for two restorations from now.

Any idea why? Don't like the sound of this ...

Me either BOB ?????

That may be unique to the UK.

However, the east coast facility here in Virginia was inoperative for a while but back up now.
