Heck no, Paul. A little POR-15, some JB Weld, and maybe a bit of WD-40 and you're good to go. Go for it!

I'd use an acetylene torch rather than a welder on that bad boy! The gas cap looks good though! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Paul, you don't need a welder for that. Some strategically placed duct tape, some structural bailing wire, a new coat of paint and it'd be good as new.
