Mounting rear bumpers on 1960 Bugeye. The body was redone and all holes for screws welded so not sure where to mount. Pictures seem to indicate they go about 2-3 inches in from lights. Can someone give me exact measurement?
Questions about the inner bracket overrider (VB 19-012): does the 'concave' side face in or out? Also, they screw to the bottom of the trunk, which has ridges, ie, hills and valleys. Do you mount it in a valley or a hill inside the trunk?
Also I feel that with the original design, if something pushes against these bumperettes they will bend back and push in the body of the car. Has anyone got a suggestion to cushion these so they can be pushed an inch or so without bending the body?
Thanks,
John
