TR2/3/3A TR3 choke cable connection help needed

For a TR3A, could someone post a picture showing how the choke cable connects to the cable support, i.e. "LINK, front jet lever, w/bolt & nut" (#60 in Moss catalog for H6 SU carb), and to the bottom of the front carb JET LEVER, (#33 in Moss catalog) along with pieces that clamp the cable wire (#39 in Moss catalog). The LINK piece on mine seems to be twisting the cable and not letting the internal wire move smoothly. Thank you very much!
Regards,
Bob

Note that as shown in the picture posted by Randall the connection is not "intuitive" ... the mixture control rod is on the manifold side of the arm. The arm does not go between the forks. Cheers, Mike

Say, what are the curved fuel lines running from the float bowls to the air filters (above the piston lifting pins)?

i don't have them on my 60 3A

They are just short lines running from the carb top for the overflow. I have seen many different non stock versions...I think they get lost easily or fall off etc...mine are essentially a small piece of rubber fuel line that pushes on to the overflow port on the top of the carb and then a small length of curved metal tube directed downwards.

Randall, thank you for the picture! For some reason I did not have that Practical Hints book. I now have it in softcopy. I looked in all my service manuals and could not find a picture of that linkage.

Mike, thank you for the explanation of the picture! As you say, that connection is not intuitive! I had to read your post and look at the picture from Randall several times before I could see what you were saying. That seems like a really weird way to connect up that mixture control rod to the bottoms of the jet levers. I'll give it a try and see how mine turns out.

Bob

And that (how it turns out) is the key. I tried the method shown in the illustration but had some binding in the choke action. Changing one end (do not recall which) got things lined up better and working smoothly.

Here's a photo of my set-up showing that the cross pin where the choke cable is secured - is not sitting with the yoke on both sides of the vertical link. The full yoke is to one side of that vertical link.

That's a great picture Don..saved me. I have been setting mine up as a saddle. Will change it out.

I just did mine and I put the U-shaped pieces inside toward the engine as per picture. However, I found that mine worked better on the front jet lever if I turned the bolt around holding the choke cable and faced the nut end on the outside toward the fender. The cable ended up straighter that way.

Bob

Randall do you still have this photo of the choke cable connection to the carb? I can't seem to get it to display and the other photo posted by Don Elliot in this thread is gone.
Thank you ever so much..

The linkage can be located on the manifold side, centered, or on the fender side. The important thing is to bend the bracket that holds the cable shroud so that you get good alignment with choke on and off. Personally, I center the rod cause it looks better to me.

Sorry about that but it's best if I drive on the lefthand side of the road over here?
