Fuel pressure regulator?

Wondering which is the best one? Seem's like there is one to avoid from past post's.

don't get those crappy round things from moss...All I've heard about them is that they are for decorative purposes only. I use a Holley 1# to 4#.

+1 on the Holley. Avoid the round, pancake style sold under various names.

I used the round one for a while. It was modestly OK at controlling the pressure. Then one day my wife called from her office to report that the GT6 was pouring fuel on the ground. The diaphragm in the regulator had failed.

Thanks guy's...the Holley 1 to 4 lb is what it is without adjustment then? Be nice if I could set one at exactly 2.5.

I use the Holley adjustable. Use a pressure gauge and a T to set the pressure with the car running. Once dialed in, remove the T and there you have it.

The 1-4 PSI is the adjustment range. You plumb "in" to the center port and out either one of two end ports. If you want you can put a gauge directly in one of the outlets. Leave the gauge if you want to check the pressure periodically, remove it and replace it with a pipe plug if you are not concerned. The socket set screw in the top of the regulator is used to adjust the outlet pressure.

My "driver" is giving me fits with what appears to be changes in fuel pump pressure. $15 dollar e-bay pump might have something to do with it!:wink-new:

Order to Amazon placed....Doesn't make much sense when I could just fit a decent pump but now I'll have it for other car's if needed.

So far as I could ever tell, they come set just right for SUs as in our cars. I have the gauge installed, but no change I ever made to the unit changed the gauge reading, But the car always ran just fine.

Still back in the shop.. no word yet, but then I asked them to give me an estimate for the body work as long as they had the car again.
