    Re: Plop plop fizz fizz

I had some at a small place out here. They had it on special, and since it was cheaper than soda, I had it with my lunch. It was good, but our favorite is Lagunitas Hop Stoopid.

    Re: "Snap On" Armrest

I'm sure they use the Tenax fasteners (Moss 227-600), one in each lower corner.

The first photo in this article ( http://www.healey6.com/Technical/Arm%20Rest.pdf)shows the snaps on the brake side....

    Re: Wheel Tire Camber

Are the ends of the anti-sway bars horizontal, or do they rise as they go to the end links? Compared with the bottom of the frame, it looks like it turns up. You might have to have longer end...

    Welcome back Randy!!

If the lower inner bushings are rubber, they should not be lubed. They should work by flexing, not by rotating.

Re: BN4 to Early BJ8 Rear Axle

I didn't notice any strange tire wear, but then, the tires on my Healey don't get enough mileage to wear out.

Re: BN4 to Early BJ8 Rear Axle

I found an axle case and Panhard rod in Canada. It is straight.

Re: Facebook - curious if anyone else

I have an account and look at it to keep up with family and friends. I usually find something funny on it every day.

If you think FB can be nasty, don't go on Twitter. I read some time ago...

    Re: Fuses Blowing

According to the Bill Young BN1 wiring diagram in the January 2019 Healey Marque, power for the OD comes from the fused side (terminal A4) of the 35-amp fuse (This is different than later Healeys). ...

Re: 64 front end too high

Yes, that proves the engine was clearly out. The engine photo shows the engine in the car. Wonder why they didn't take photos of the outside with the engine in?

Actually, I like this one better...

    Re: AUTOMOBILE Magazine Discontinued

Apparently, most of the car magazines are going out of print with some going to online only versions.

    Re: Steam Bike

As my friend who worked in the UK says:

"The Japanese are proud of their electronics, the Americans are proud of their biotechnology, and the British are proud of their steam engines."

  20. Re: BN4 Locking Door Handle Removal Suggestions

Because it's too easy to slash the top, and replacement tops had to be shipped from overseas. I know you know how hard it is to get a new top installed on a BJ8. If I had to have anything in the...
  21. Re: Tune Up Question - what do you actually do?

Yesterday, a friend was telling us that he took his Toyota PU into the same shop he has been using since new for a tuneup. It's a V6, and apparently one of the plugs is hard to reach. This was the...

Re: AH 300O MK1 Choke Knob Position

That's the original location of the choke knob on a 100-6. On a 3000 Mark 1, if it has a manual choke, the knob is on the dash above the cold air "Pull" knob.
  23. Re: BN4 Locking Door Handle Removal Suggestions

You will have to remove the handle to rekey. There is a pin inside the door that has to be removed to extract the lock cylinder. I didn't bother. I learned when I was stationed in Hawaii to never...
