Re: Most popular color for A/H 3000

When I was searching for the color of my first AH I really couldn't decide, they all looked so beautiful. One day I found a British website showing British car "models" and I came across this:

It is a very beautiful Healey, I'm jealous.

Thank you, can't wait to see the car stripped down and cleaned up.
  4. Re: Austin Healey brake lights don't come on 1967 BJ8

Follow the master brake lines down to the passenger side and you'll find the switch. Most likely a wiring switch has a wire broke off.

Re: Most popular color for A/H 3000

58855 58862 I feel the color choice is personal, however, I always look for a color that was not popular. Here's my 1959 BN7 in early BRG over OEW. It was always popular at car shows.

Could you show some photos please? Especially interested in the twin lights you mention. Also a photo of the Heritage certificate? Do you have an extra dashboard?
  7. Re: To Johnny who has posted an Article in the Articles Section about his German Expo

Thanks Bob, I know the car was built in late 1962, but it was sold as a 1963. Not exactly sure how that works as for as US licensing goes. Thanks for the offer Bob.

  8. Re: To Johnny who has posted an Article in the Articles Section about his German Expo

Thank you "Vette" for the photos. I see my wiper switch is in the wrong place after all. Once again the BCF has rescued me. Does your car also have the other items I mentioned in the article?

  9. Can I add to an article that I've completed but not yet published?

Just added an article on German exported Healey's and wanted to modify the article. However, I couldn't see where to continue before published?

    AH BJ7 Trafficator Color?

    58671

This is a 1963 BJ7. The (Trafficator) knob is unpainted and doesn't look correct. Shouldn't it be painted, or chrome? I have seen others painted black, and still others chrome in various...

Re: Tasteful upgrades for a BJ7

Here's an upgrade I'm considering for my '63 BJ7. In the July/August 2012 (yeah I know it's been awhile) issue of the Austin Healey magazine AHCA there's an article on replacing the entire exhaust...

Hi Bill, I too had lots of problems aligning the top frame. I had to adjust the windshield for elevation and the side mountings on the frame itself to get a good fit. It was one of the hardest...

Re: Question on fuel consumption of my BN6

It's possible you're leaking gas from around the fuel pump, or from the carbs. Either place wouldn't show up on a CO test. Do you ever notice smelling fuel while driving?
  24. Re: Miss BT has a new home (probably a new name too!)

Sorry to hear that Bob, but fully understood. Hopefully you'll still drop by the AH club meetings.
Of course we all still can benefit from your experiences.
