    Re: I gotta move south

That's known as a French Toast emergency. Milk, bread, and eggs.
As long as I can get to the liquor store before all the whiskey is gone, I can make it through any Southern snowpacolypse.

    Re: Toyota headlight @#$%

That's getting to be SOP for the most part.
Seriously have to put most of the newer cars on a lift when they come in for a headlight bulb. And woe be unto the poor tech who gets assigned a car...

    Re: Audi A4?

Best way I can put it is like this:
A 124 chassis E class in 1992 was somewhere north of $40k to start. A new 213 chassis E class is just north of $50k to start. So the price has held fairly...

    Re: Audi A4?

I look at the "prestige" of German cars like this:
You're buying a car to drive every day, not some toy to drive when the weather is nice on the weekend. NO WAY would I put up with the reliability...

TR4/4A Re: Bad news on my TR4

    Thanks guys,
Keeping it as-is and driving it around town on the weekends was a strong consideration, but I haven't even really had the time for that. When the weekend comes the last thing I want to...

TR4/4A Bad news on my TR4

We're moving buildings and I won't have the space to do any real restoration work on the car. Only projects I can do are things that I can pull in Friday and be done and out by Sunday afternoon. ...

    Re: Happy Black Friday!

Elliot, Xfinity was a total nightmare to get dropped from full cable to internet only. Got the runaround "here's a better deal" spiel about 50 times before they finally got the message that I didn't...
  15. TR2/3/3A Re: Connecting Rod Locking Tab Deformation

Maybe the tabs were re-used? Ends bent down to remove the bolts, then tapped back up after bolts were torqued, but bolt heads ended up in slightly different rotation.

    Re: Happy Black Friday!

Tom, we had a Roku unit for our TV that was hard wired to our router. Our TV predated internet ready stuff, so that was the easiest route for a non-tech guy like me to figure out.
